CLAMP is a group composed by four female manga artists. They started in the middle of the 80's doing doujinshis (self-published mangas), when the group still had 12 members, all women. After their debut as professional manga creators in 1989, the group shrunk to only four members and they are still together nowadays.

During their almost 20 years of history, CLAMP produced major famous works such as RG Veda (their first professional work), Tokyo Babylon, X, Magic Knights Rayearth, Card Captor Sakura, ANGELIC LAYER, Chobits and are currently working on TSUBASA - RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE - and XXXHOLiC.

The great majority of their works extended itself beyond the boundaries of manga pages by turning into other kind of medias like Drama CDs, OVAs, TV Anime Series, Movies, etc.
